What does it mean to keep yourself healthy?”
“Imagine a house that is beautifully built but neglected. Dust, leaks, and cracks will eventually ruin it. In the same way, our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, and we must care for them both spiritually and physically. Today, we will learn how God’s Word and wise choices in nutrition and lifestyle help us keep ourselves healthy.”

Recall from Previous: Review last lesson on Walking in Victory
Last week, we learned about Walking in Victory, where Pastor Chris taught us that victory is not something we try to achieve but the reality we live in because of Christ. We saw that through faith and confession, we can speak to our bodies, reject sickness, and command them to function rightly.
Pastor Chris teaches that “God’s Word is medicine. When you take it into your spirit, it produces health in your body.” This means you can speak to your body, command it to function rightly, and it will respond. Mark 11:23 (NKJV) says, “For
assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.” If you perceive symptoms of
sickness, reject them. Don’t talk about sickness; talk to it.
Declare boldly that your body is subject to the Word of God. Your words carry divine authority, and they shape your health.
Water is indispensable. Drinking at least eight glasses a day keeps your skin hydrated, your joints lubricated, and your body functioning optimally. Isaiah 58:11 (NKJV) says, “The Lord will guide you continually, and satisfy your soul in drought, and strengthen your bones; you shall be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail.” Avoid alcohol, tobacco, and junk food, as they damage the body. Discipline in eating, resting, and exercising is part of stewardship of the temple of the Holy Spirit. Remember, the most important reason to eat healthy is to keep your body strong and vibrant for God’s work.

Greek Word for the Day – Aionios (αἰώνιος) —
Pastor Chris teaches that Aionios (αἰώνιος) refers not only to endless duration but to the very quality of God’s life. Eternal life is the God‑kind of life imparted to the believer. It is incorruptible, indestructible, and victorious. He explains that aionios life is not something you will receive later in heaven; it is your present possession in Christ.
Pastor Chris explains that Aionios (αἰώνιος) is the life that makes you walk above sickness, weakness, and defeat. It is the eternal nature of God at work in you. When you become conscious of this life, you stop struggling and begin to reign.
Eternal life is not just about living forever; it is about living in divine health, joy, and strength now.
Teaching Application
Illustration: Imagine a student who has access to unlimited resources for study — textbooks, tutorials, and mentors. That student is guaranteed success if they use those resources. In the same way, Aionios life is God’s unlimited resource in
you. It guarantees victory, but you must walk in it daily with faith, love, and obedience. Eternal life is not just about existing forever; it is about living in divine health, joy, and strength now.

1. Write down one area of your life where you need to experience the reality of Aionios life (e.g., health, academics, relationships).
2. Beside it, write a scripture that confirms eternal life is at work in you (e.g., John 17:3, Romans 6:23).
3. Speak that scripture aloud as a personal unveiling — declare it until you sense the consciousness of eternal life rising in you.
