Pray fervidly in tongues of the spirit, interceding for children who may have strayed from the path of truth. Pray that they be restored to continue living for the lord. Amen.

TEACHING OUTLINE: YOUR IDENTITY IN CHRIST
1. Introduction
Begin by asking: “Who are you?” Most will answer with their name, family, or
nationality.
Transition: “But the most important identity is who you are in Christ.”
1. John 1:12 “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the
sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:”
2. 2 Corinthians 5:17 “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature:
old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”
3. Romans 8:1–2 “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in
Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For the law
of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin
and death.”
4. Ephesians 2:10 “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good
works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.”
5. Colossians 1:27 “To whom God would make known what is the riches of the
glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of
glory:”
6. 1 John 4:4 “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because
greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.”
7. 2 Peter 1:4 “Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious

Who are you?
Do you know what God’s Word says concerning you?” “The
Word declares something far greater about you. Let’s see together.”
“But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light” (1 Peter 2:9).
The Word declares that we are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a dedicated nation, God’s own purchased special people. You’re special. You’re born of God; therefore, you’re taxonomically different from the unregenerate man. You have the organic and existential attributes of deity. You’re of divine origin. This is your identity in Christ.
God created you to set forth His wonderful deeds and display His virtues and perfections, His glory and His excellence in the earth. He called you out of darkness into His marvellous light, to reveal Him to your world. What’s more? You’re His righteousness (2 Corinthians 5:21); you’re the proof of His fairness. Blessed be God!
It’s important for you to know these and other truths about your identity in Christ so you can walk accordingly. You need to know who you truly are, and the best way for you to know is to study God’s Word. The Word, particularly the Epistles, are the album of the new creation in Christ.
Through the Word you see and know yourself, you know the substance and character of your human spirit. In Christ, we’re of a different spirit. We’re gracious, loving, affectionate and kind. We’re royalty. Consider again what we read in our opening scripture; it unveils who you are, what you have, and what you can do in Christ.
When the revelation of your identity dawns on your spirit, it becomes your consciousness. You’ll speak boldly and act confidently in line with the Word, resulting in testimonies, victories, unending joy, and peace with prosperity. The knowledge of your identity and heritage in Christ puts springs in your steps. It causes you to walk in His righteousness and dominion always. Hallelujah!

The Apostle Paul says in 1 Corinthians 2:12–13 that we’ve received the Spirit of God so we might know the things freely given to us. That word ‘know’ carries the sense of Aido — knowledge that you are conscious of, knowledge that affects how you live.
For example, Romans 8:28 says, ‘We know that all things work together for good…’
That’s Aido. It’s not a guess or a hope; it’s a present awareness that everything is working for your good. When you walk in Aido, you don’t panic, you don’t fear, because you’re conscious of God’s presence and His Word at work in you.”
